I don't understand why ballots are "mailed in" or why everyone gets registered automatically.

I lived 25 years abroad in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. I ALWAYS managed to get myself to a consulate to vote, SOMETIMES CARRYING TWO BABIES and needing to fly to get there. It wasn't easy but I survived and I felt that I'd done my duty and was proud of it!

Now, why is it so difficult for people to get their behinds to their polling stations these days? There are enough of them (as compared to Europe or God forbid, Africa!)

THERE IS NO EXCUSE for mail in ballots, early voting and automatic registration. I am living proof that if one is truly interested and involved, one WILL get to the voting booth and vote the old fashioned but MUCH SECURER way.

Noel: You are ABSOLUTELY right! This is the heart of the problem: The "Bad Guys" steal elections by stuffing the ballot box. They have to have extra ballots to insert into the counting process. They get these from inactive, disinterested and corruptible registered voters. They NEED people to register who have no interest in voting. They use "good" ideas to cover their misdeeds. They use words like: "count every vote" and "make it easy to vote" in order to support their subversion of secure processes. "Easy to vote" MEANS "easy to cheat." "Count every vote" MEANS "count every vote, regardless of how it was obtained, or from whom." We have to fight against the faults in the process, as well as the rhetoric they use to defend their crimes.

We have to stop voting with machines. Humanity is not ready to be entrusted with only their honor at stake.
